He partnered with investors to buy, ﬁx and resell over 1,000 homes across California. Realizing the need to diversify, Canter utilized the volume of his real estate transactions as a catalyst to expand into other verticals. This marked the start of Canter Companies, what would become a vertically integrated corporation which handles everything from development, real estate, portfolio and capital management.
In 2009, Andrew opened Canter Brokerage, which grew to be one of the largest local brokerages in San Diego based on sales volume. After growing his team to over a hundred agents, Andrew joined forces with Compass, the #1 brokerage in the nation. Now operating as The Canter Real Estate Group, Andrew’s clients can access some of the industry’s most innovative tools to streamline the buying and selling experience.
